Computer Science Remote Learning Support for Bullard High Students 2020

District Position on Student Work

1. Student participation is optional.
2. Due to any potential inequities (technology, internet access, household issues, etc.) it would not be appropriate to require student participation or assign student work that might negatively affect their semester grade.
3. Student work will not be graded.
4. Fresno Unified School District’s 3rd quarter ended on March 13th, 2020. Districtwide school closures started on March 16th, 2020. Any school work assigned to students during the districtwide school closure (4th quarter) will be considered enrichment learning opportunities.

Opportunities to Improve Your Score

To improve your mark for the semester, you may do any of the following multiple opportunities ...

1. Turn in missing assignments with no point deduction for late work.
2. Improve assignments turned in for an improved score.
3. Enhance completed assignments for potential extra credit.

Optional Assignments for Enrichment are posted on the calendar to the right by their subject. Note that all assignments are color coded based on the course the students are enrolled.

BLUE: CSE (Computer Software Engineering)
GOLD: AP CSP (Computer Science Principles)
ROSE: AP CSA (Computer Science A)

Important CSP Information from College Board

1. There'll be no multiple-choice assessment for AP CSP. The AP CSP exam will consist only of the Create and Explore performance tasks.
2. All performance task due dates are being extended to May 26, 11:59 p.m. ET, to allow students as much time as possible to submit. Unfortunately, no extension can be provided after this deadline.
